Coffee beans refer to the fruit of plants used for making coffee. Broadly speaking, there are two types of coffee beans in the world: Arabica beans and Robusta beans. The fruit of coffee is composed of two elliptical seeds facing each other. The side that connects with each other is a flat joint, called a flat bean. But there are also round beans made up of a round seed, called round beans, whose taste is no different.
The earliest way Arabs consumed coffee was by chewing the entire fruit to extract its juice. Afterwards, they mixed ground coffee beans with animal fat as a physical supplement for long-distance travel. It wasn't until around 1000 AD that green coffee beans were boiled in boiling water to become aromatic beverages. Three centuries later, Arabs began roasting and grinding coffee beans. Due to the prohibition of alcohol in the Quran, Arabs consumed a large amount of coffee, and religion was actually a major factor in the widespread popularity of coffee in the Arab world.
